Chris Pratt steps into the role of a battle-hardened Navy SEAL uncle in the first trailer for Way of the Warrior Kid, Apple TV’s new family action drama adapted from Jocko Willink’s 2017 bestselling book.
The story follows Marc, a middle schooler getting crushed by bullies while also struggling in class, in sports, and with friends. His world changes when his uncle Jake, a decorated SEAL recovering from an injury, moves in for the summer with Marc and his mother, Sarah.
Jake answers with “Operation Warrior Kid,” a training program built on military discipline. Rather than teaching fighting tricks, he pushes Marc toward toughness and self-belief, while quietly wrestling with battles of his own.
Pratt leads a cast that includes Linda Cardellini as Sarah and Jude Hill as Marc. Willink, the author and former SEAL, also appears in the film.
McG, the director behind Terminator Salvation, helms the project.
Way of the Warrior Kid premieres worldwide on November 25 on Apple TV.
