Power Origins

Power: Origins

The Power universe is going back to the beginning with Power: Origins, and Starz has released a new teaser and photos offering the first look at the younger versions of three characters who became central to the franchise.

Spence Moore steps into the role of James “Ghost” St. Patrick, while Charlie Mann takes over as Tommy Egan, the characters originally made famous by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora. MeKai Curtis also returns as Kanan Stark, reprising the role he played in Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

Set before the events of the original Power, Origins follows Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as ambitious young men trying to establish themselves on the streets of New York City. The series promises to explore their early ambitions, rivalries, friendships, and the choices that eventually transform them into major figures within the Power world.

Rather than simply revisiting familiar stories, Starz describes the prequel as a more energetic exploration of a new period in the franchise, focusing on the youthful confidence and determination of three future legends before they fully understand where their ambitions will lead.

Power: Origins will become the fifth series in the expanding Power universe when it premieres in 2027. The new prequel will give fans a chance to see Ghost and Tommy before their criminal empire takes shape, while Kanan remains an important link to the franchise’s existing history.
