Sheriff Mickey Fox is facing danger on both sides of the law as Sheriff Country returns for Season 2, with the latest trailer promising another tense chapter of crime, family secrets, and small-town justice.
Mickey, played by Morwen Christie, is still dealing with a shocking revelation about her own family when a new case demands her immediate attention. A troubled young woman becomes caught in a dangerous criminal operation, and Mickey quickly realizes that what initially looks like an isolated situation could expose a much larger threat to the entire community of Edgewater.
As the investigation intensifies, Mickey finds herself under increasing pressure to protect the town she calls home while trying to deal with the complicated family dynamics threatening to distract her from the job. The new season appears ready to push the sheriff into even more dangerous territory as the criminal operation expands.
Ben McKenzie joins the season as Sheriff Wade, a neighboring sheriff called in to help Mickey handle the growing crisis. However, Wade arrives with secrets of his own, suggesting that Mickey may not be able to trust everyone standing beside her.
Season 2 continues the series’ mix of law enforcement action, family drama, and escalating criminal threats, with Mickey once again caught between protecting her community and confronting problems much closer to home.
Sheriff Country Season 2 premieres October 9 on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
