Marshals season 2

Marshals returns with season 2

Luke Grimes returns as Kayce Dutton when Marshals enters its second season, continuing the Yellowstone universe with a story that becomes even more personal for the former rancher turned Special Deputy U.S. Marshal.

Season 2 picks up directly from the first season’s cliffhanger, with Kayce facing his most desperate mission yet. His teenage son Tate, played by Brecken Merrill, has been kidnapped, forcing Kayce to lead the search while confronting the devastating changes that have already reshaped his family.

The loss of Monica, played by Kelsey Asbille, hangs heavily over the new season after her death from cancer was revealed in Season 1. With much of the Dutton family gone and Yellowstone itself no longer part of his life, Kayce appears to be entering a darker chapter. In the trailer, he acknowledges just how much he has lost while preparing to bring his son home.

Marshals quickly became a breakout hit for CBS, with the network crediting the strength of the Yellowstone world, character-driven storytelling, and Grimes’ performance for its successful first season.

The new episodes will continue expanding Kayce’s story beyond the Dutton ranch, combining family drama with the dangers of federal law enforcement.

Marshals Season 2 premieres October 4 on CBS, with new episodes streaming on Paramount+ beginning October 5.
