Jackie Chan wants to blow up a railway bridge in Railroad Tigers

Jackie Chan‘s latest action film Railroad Tigers, which was directed by Ding Sheng with a budget of US$50 million has been recently picked up for international distribution by Hong Kong’s Golden Network Asia. The film is backed by Sparkle Roll Media Corp, Shanghai Film Group, Beijing Going Zoom Media and Shanghai New Culture Media Group.

This is the third time when Jackie unites with Ding Sheng, previously both worked on Little Big Soldier and Police Story 2013.

The movie is set in wartime China in 1941 and features Chan as a railroad worker who leads a team of freedom fighters who use their knowledge of the train network to disrupt Japan’s wartime engine and steal food for the starving Chinese population.

Railroad Tigers is due for release on October 3, 2016.

Synopsis: In December 1941, Japan is expanding its occupation of neighboring countries in Southeast Asia. The railway from Tianjin to Nanjing, in eastern China, has become a key route for military transport, heavily guarded Japanese soldiers. Railroad worker, Ma Yuan, organized team of freedom fighters. Using their in-depth knowledge of rail networks, he and his men ambush for Japanese soldiers and stealing their supplies to feed the starving Chinese.

Local Chinese call their heroes’ railway tigers. When the freedom fighters are on the wrong side of the tracks, sending reinforcements to the Japanese in Shandong Province, Ma Yuan decided on his most dangerous act and wants to blow up a railway bridge guarded. The Japanese know about crushing plan that could disrupt military plans, and the rates are raised even higher.
