Collision Course

Collision Course and a flawless heist

A seemingly perfect bank heist turns into a dangerous game of deception in Collision Course, a new Spanish thriller that puts the criminals in an almost impossible situation: investigating their own crime.

Directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, the filmmaker behind Dark Blue Almost Black, Seventeen, and Cousinhood, the film begins during the height of the financial crisis, when a group of robbers storms a bank in Madrid. Their carefully planned operation takes an unexpected turn when a brutal car accident throws everything into chaos.

The biggest twist comes when the police officers responsible for the heist are assigned to investigate the accident, forcing them to protect their own secrets while trying to uncover what actually happened. As loyalties begin to fracture, every character becomes a potential threat, and escaping the consequences may prove harder than escaping the crime scene.

The cast features Goya Award winners Laia Costa, Karra Elejalde, Luis Zahera, Tamar Novas, Álvaro Cervantes, and Lluís Homar, bringing plenty of experience to a story built around suspicion, survival, and unexpected twists.

Collision Course marks Sánchez Arévalo’s first thriller, with the director promising action, suspense, intrigue, uncertainty, and plenty of surprises. Produced by Bambú Producciones, the film looks to deliver a fast-moving crime story where nobody can be trusted.

Collision Course premieres on Netflix October 30.
