Wolf Warrior has been granted a new release date set for April 2. The movie is getting an IMAX 3D release and sees Wu Jing as an insubordinate commando who, after earning reprieve for second chance with a new squad, is now forced to take on a horde of foreign mercenaries seeking to avenge one of their own, led by Scott Adkins.

Synopsis: Leng Feng is a rebellious special force soldier. During an assault mission, he disobeys an direct order, shooting three bullets through a concrete wall for a kill shot on the drug lord, hence the nickname “Cruel Three Shots”. While serving time in confinement for insubordination, Leng Feng ’s extraordinary marksmanship earns himself recruitment into China’s elite “Wolf Warrior” Squadron. By going through relentless military drills, Leng Feng slowly finds his place among his comrades. Just when everyone thinks the drill is over, the squadron is ambushed by a troop of foreign mercenaries who sworn to kill Leng Feng and avenge their drug lord’s death.

Scott Adkins has wrapped work on Hercules 3D and going to China by 1st class Cathay Pacific Airlines to work with Wu Jing during 5 weeks.
The movie Adkins is talking about is Wolf, Wu Jing’s second directorial project after Legendary Assassin in 2008. So this sounds really good because this means Asian producers put an eye on British raising martial artist and want to see him in hi-octane actions in East Asia.
War action movie Wolf is currently intense shooting, the film preparations lasted five years. In order to show the true movie commando style, Wu Jing painstaking practice, with special forces to eat, live, train together, and to the shooting scene, Wu Jing’s performance is cause for surprise.
For Scott it all began 13 years ago in Hong Kong and now he is coming back to take another step in his skyrocking career. Darren Shahlavi, who worked with Wu Jing on Tai Chi 2 in 1996, said: “Have a great shoot bro and send my best to Wu Jing, he is amazing, you guys are going to be killer together!”
Wu Jing was born in Beijing, China in 1974, he was sent to train at Beijing Wushu Academy when he was 6 years old as both his Father and Grandfather were also martial artists. In 1995 he was spotted by Yuen Woo-Ping who had come to the academy to look for a martial artist for the film Tai Chi 2. His dedication and skill won his a lot of respect across East Asia. Often contributing to the scripts and choreography of his work, his natural talent and his sense of humour are vividly expressed.
