The Land

The Land of the NFL world

The pressure of professional football meets family conflict and corporate power struggles in a new scripted drama set inside the world of the Cleveland Browns. Starring Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, and William H. Macy, the series promises a behind-the-scenes look at the NFL, where every game can change careers and every decision carries consequences far beyond the field.

Meloni plays Danny Roarke, Cleveland’s head coach, who faces the daunting task of turning around a struggling franchise while fighting to save his own career. His future may depend on his son, Connor Roarke, a rookie quarterback selected out of Ohio State. In an unusual promotional move, the character’s fictional draft moment was filmed live during the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, bringing the show’s storyline directly into the real-world football spotlight.

The drama extends into the team’s front office, where owner Hal Durkin, played by Macy, faces a high-stakes succession battle. As he considers which of his two daughters should inherit control of the franchise, the organization becomes a battleground for competing ambitions and family loyalties.

Macy has described the writing as Shakespearean, suggesting that the series will balance football action with intense personal drama. Produced in partnership with the NFL, the untitled series is scheduled to premiere February 15 on Hulu, the day after Super Bowl LXI, bringing the fictional struggles of Cleveland’s football world to television audiences.
