Brad Pitt is back as one of his most memorable action characters in The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, with new footage revealing a very different chapter in the life of the former stuntman. Set in 1977, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, the film finds Cliff no longer needed to battle hippies in the streets of Los Angeles, but still perfectly suited for Hollywood’s darker problems.
Directed by David Fincher from a new script by Quentin Tarantino, the crime thriller turns Cliff into a Hollywood fixer who solves problems using his unique, occasionally illegal skills. When he is not bartending or working as a projectionist, Cliff takes jobs that bring him into the dangerous world surrounding TV star Charlie Peters, played by Scott Caan.
Elizabeth Debicki plays talent agent Karen Crosby, who brings Cliff into the case, while Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and the Verdusco brothers, played by Matt Groove and JB Tadena, add more players to a growing web of ambition, violence, and criminal activity.
The story promises a darker evolution of the character, moving from Tarantino’s alternate-history fairy tale into a full-blown Los Angeles crime story.
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth opens exclusively in IMAX theaters worldwide for two weeks beginning November 25 before arriving on Netflix December 23.
