Stealing the Mona Lisa is already a dangerous job, but Masterplan makes the mission even more complicated by turning the crew into one very dysfunctional family. The upcoming heist film follows a legendary thief who recruits two talented young specialists for the biggest score of their lives, only to reveal that they are long-lost siblings and, even more surprisingly, that he is their father.
Chiara is an Italian cybercrime expert with the skills needed to penetrate sophisticated security systems, while Jay is a swaggering French explosives specialist who knows how to make obstacles disappear. Their very different personalities make the partnership difficult enough, but discovering they share the same father turns the operation into an unexpected family reunion.
The concept promises a mix of high-tech crime, explosive action, and family comedy, with the movie described as a combination of Berlin and Ocean’s Eleven. The trio must overcome their personal differences and learn to trust each other if they want to pull off the heist of the century.
Masterplan is written by Vincent, whose credits include Bodyguard and Reacher, alongside BAFTA-winning Spooks writer David Wolstencroft. The story comes from Giacomo Durzi, Alessandro Fabbri, Alberto Vignati, Wolstencroft, and Vincent.
Masterplan will stream exclusively on Prime Video on October 16.
