Lady Bloodfight is ready to face off against deadliest fighters
If you think a lady can win only legit UFC fight think again. Big gun in Asian movie industry Bey Logan decided to go further and prove that elegant and skilled Amy Johnston can win underground fights. Did they succeed? I don’t know, let’s wait for the Lady Bloodfight release.
With a budget of $10,000,000 producers got female casting of Amy Johnston, Jenny Wu, Muriel Hofmann, Kathy Wu, Sharon Zhang. Chris Nahon, who previously directed one of my favorite martial arts movies Kiss of The Dragon, this time decided to helm a female-centric film in a Bloodsport style.
Martial arts fans know famous female actresses such as Angela Mao, Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock. But it’s a time for a fresh blood Amy Johnson who decided to join JeeJa Yanin and Rina Takeda fame. For those who don’t know Amy, her stunt resume includes doubling for Scarlett Johansson in Captain America The Winter Soldier, so she is certainly capable of handling an action-heavy role such as this.
A former Soviet Wushu athlete Temur Mamisashvili was in charged for a fight choreographer and Xin Xin Xiong for stunts.
Lady Bloodfight is being produced by B&B Productions and distributed by Voltage Pictures.
