Dexter Morgan is heading back into the darkness as Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 brings Michael C. Hall’s iconic serial killer into a dangerous new chapter. The official trailer reveals two formidable murderers arriving in New York while Dexter faces an unexpected enemy of his own: a midlife crisis.
The new season places Dexter between two very different killers. Brian Cox plays Don Frampton, known as The New York Ripper, a notorious serial killer whose reign of terror has haunted the city for years. Dan Stevens joins the season as Owen Stark, the Five Borough Killer, a younger and far more unpredictable threat bringing a new style of violence to New York.
Showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips continues the story with Dexter caught between these two predators while attempting to maintain control over his increasingly complicated life. Meanwhile, Harrison Morgan, played by Jack Alcott, continues his own pursuit of justice, pushing father and son toward what could become their darkest chapter yet.
Season 2 will also introduce another killer, Ray Ballard, played by Gabriel Luna. Operating under the name The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger, Ballard adds another dangerous player to Dexter’s increasingly crowded world.
Krysten Ritter is also returning, although her role remains mysterious. Her character Mia LaPierre, also known as Lady Vengeance, could still be alive or potentially return in another form.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premieres October 30 on Paramount+.
