The producers of Lucy and the Taken trilogy bring you the next adrenaline-fueled installment of The Transporter series, the Transporter Refueled, starring newcomer Ed Skrein as Frank Martin, the most highly-skilled transporter money can buy. The stakes are greater and technology better, but the same three simple rules apply: never change the deal, no names and never open the package.

In May 2013 at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival a new trilogy was announced with EuropaCorp and China’s Fundamental Films co-producing and distributing the titles. The films will likely be budgeted between $30 million to $40 million each and at least one will be shot in China. English actor Ed Skrein will replace Jason Statham as Frank Martin.

The Transporter Legacy film is focusing on Martin’s earlier years as a self-employed transporter-for-hire for any and all who could afford him, as well as abide by three main rules.

Here’s the official plot synopsis: “In the criminal underworld of France, Frank Martin is known as The Transporter; the best driver and mercenary money can buy. Frank will deliver anything for a price. He abides by 3 simple rules: no names, no questions and no renegotiations.that is until he meets a mysterious and lethal femme fatale Anna, leader of a group of deadly assailants. Stopping at nothing to take down a group of ruthless Russian human traffickers, Anna knows Frank is the best man for the job and holds his father (Ray Stevenson – Thor, Divergent) for ransom to ensure his cooperation. Now Frank and his father are forced to team up with Anna to bring these villains to justice. The Transporter Legacy is a relentless, high octane ride that takes the Transporter franchise to explosive new heights.”

To say the least, it appears Martin will be back to deliver the usual arsenal of breakneck fisticuffs, and hopefully through the vision of a well-suited action director that knows how to solidify Skrein as a proper heir to the role.

The filming began on August 1, 2014, in Paris, France and scheduled for 4 September 2015 release.
