The Beast

Samuel L. Jackson in The Beast

Samuel L. Jackson is getting behind the wheel of the most dangerous presidential limousine in America in The Beast, a new action comedy from director Renny Harlin. Aura Entertainment has unveiled the first teaser for the movie, and it looks like a gloriously ridiculous addition to the “president under attack” action-movie tradition.

The premise wastes no time going completely over the top. When an unidentified militia launches a coordinated coup against the United States, the president is forced to take control of the heavily armored presidential limousine himself. His mission? Save an injured agent, find his wife and somehow prevent the entire world from falling apart.

But this isn’t just any SUV. The Beast is packed with highly classified capabilities that the president must unlock while enemies close in around him.

Jackson leads the cast alongside Joel Kinnaman, Colin Morgan and Guy Burnet, while Harlin brings plenty of action experience to the project. The director previously delivered films including Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger and this year’s Deep Water.

The teaser appears to embrace the movie’s absurdity, mixing explosive action, foul-mouthed humor and unexpected surprises. It may sound like White House Down trapped inside an armored presidential vehicle, but that could be exactly what makes The Beast so much fun.

The Beast hits U.S. theaters October 9, 2026.
