Splinter Cell Deathwatch

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch

The shadowy world of covert ops is heading to the screen with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, an animated series adapting Ubisoft’s iconic espionage video game franchise. Created by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad, the show brings Sam Fisher back into action after more than two decades of stealth-driven legacy, following the character first introduced in the 2002 game.

Set in a world where Fisher is more myth than man, the story pulls the legendary black-ops agent out of the shadows to guide a new recruit through a global conspiracy that threatens to spiral out of control. The series leans into the franchise’s core themes of secrecy, surveillance, and moral ambiguity, aiming for a grounded, adult tone.

The eight-episode first season is directed by Guillaume Dousse and co-directed by Felicien Colmet-Daage. Ubisoft Film & Television developed the project alongside animation studios Sun Creature and Fost, with around 240 artists contributing to the production. Ubisoft executives Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon, and Gérard Guillemot serve as executive producers.

Liev Schreiber leads the voice cast as Sam Fisher, bringing gravitas to the franchise’s most iconic character. After five years in development and two years of production, Splinter Cell premieres October 14 on Netflix.
