Dancing and fighting with birds.
Another one masterpiece from Thailand film industry. The Ong Bak 2 received a lot of negative comments, so martial arts fans were waiting for Tony’s rehabilitation with Ong Bak 3.
15 minutes of recovery, 15 minutes in coma and 15 minutes of fights – this is telling briefly, but let’s look a little bit deeper… just a little…
The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien has lost his fighting skills and his beloved stepfather at the Garuda’s Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan. Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim as well as Mhen and the Kana Khone villagers. Deep into the meditation taught by Phra Bua, Tien finally is able to achieve ‘Nathayut’. His talents are put to the test again when his rivals including the Golden-Armored King’s Guard, the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha return for the final massive showdown.
Yes that’s truth, Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien has lost his fighting skills but probably not everything, and in the beginning of the movie he is able to kick some bad asses, but after hard beating he gets into coma. And here is 15 minutes of freedom for all other crew to show their skills while muay thai star is sleeping and can’t see how good is Petchtai Wongkamlao as crazy hermit or Dan Chupong as the main villain.
Moreover thai filmmakers did not want to make Tien fights his old masters and kill them all during 10 seconds like other extras, yes, it is not american Undisputed 3 where Scott Adkins flying in the ring some time before knock out an opponent.
And here we go again, 15 minutes of recovery with dancing around princess and Tony is hungry for revenge, very strong in his eyes but very poor in fight choreography. In comparison with Ong Bak 2 this movie is boring and about nothing like King of Fighters Movie.
Please Tony come back to real actions like Tom Yum Goong, you can do it, we know, stop cram us with fakes like Ong Bak 3.
