Previously known as Old Soldier this new movie My Beloved Bodyguard was linked to Jackie Chan, but due to scheduling conflicts, he declined it.
Film follows a retired bodyguard played by Sammo who has settled in the dark and unknown corner of the world where China, Russia and North Korea meet. Suffering from the beginnings of dementia, the bodyguard is befriended by a young girl whose life is threatened when her father falls in with the local crime world. When the girl and her father disappear, the bodyguard must call upon his long forgotten skills to save the life of his young friend.
This martial arts movie features famous names such as Andy Lau, Eddie Peng, Tsui Hark, Yuen Biao and Yuen Wah.
The Bodyguard gets a domestic release on April 1, 2016.
