Frank Grillo has joined Olga Kurylenko and Oliver Trevena in Misdirection, a new feature thriller from director Kevin Lewis. The project brings together familiar genre faces for a contained, high-tension story built around reversal and deception.
The film follows Sara and Jason, played by Kurylenko and Trevena, a desperate couple buried in debt to dangerous people. To buy their freedom, they have turned to a string of high-end robberies. One final job is meant to end it all. Their target is the luxury home of prominent defense attorney David Blume, portrayed by Grillo, timed carefully while he is scheduled to give a public speech.
The plan collapses when Blume returns home early. The couple becomes trapped inside his heavily fortified, high-tech house, turning a clean burglary into a deadly standoff. What begins as a home-invasion thriller quickly shifts into a cat-and-mouse game where power changes hands and nothing is as straightforward as it appears. As the situation escalates, layers of conspiracy, revenge, and betrayal come into focus.
Misdirection is written by Lacy McClory and produced by Steven Shapiro alongside Trevena through Ollywood Media, with Red Productions handling the Serbian shoot. Trevena recently earned a Breakthrough Actor award in Rome for The Paradox Effect, also starring Kurylenko.
