Fight Choreography for Filmmakers by John Kreng

Action coordinator and author John Kreng will be teaching a seminar on fight choreography for filmmakers at The Show Biz Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center in May.

The hour-long seminar will covers three acts of a fight scene, common mistakes made in fight scenes and how to correct them, keys to successful fight scenes, stylizing a fight, and reasons why professional fighters typically make unconvincing stunt fighters.

John Kreng is a 15-year veteran of the film industry with experience as stuntman, stunt coordinator and fight coordinator. He is author of the book “Fight Choreography: The Art of Non-Verbal Dialogue.” Kreng’s varied professional entertainment experience also extends to performing stand-up comedy, acting and video game design.

Working as producer, fight choreographer and lead actor, Kreng recently completed production on a feature film titled BATTLE B-BOY, an martial arts movie with fight choreography that combines various dance styles with martial arts.

John Kreng’s “Fight Choreography for Filmmakers” seminar takes place on May 7, 2011, from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. Online registration is available at Theshowbizexpo.com.
