Mark Dacascos and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in Hawaii Five-0

Mark Dacascos and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa have just finished their roles in CBS show Hawaii Five-0.

Mark Dacascos plays Wo Fat. Fans of the original Hawaii Five-O will remember Wo Fat as the biggest foe of Danno that appeared eleven times in the show’s twelve seasons.

Dacascos is a native of Hawaii and has acted in several dozen movies and TV series in addition to his time on “Iron Chef America.” His notable roles include the syndicated series “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven” and movies like “Cradle 2 the Grave” and “Brotherhood of the Wolf.”

Hawaii Five-0 has been the standout of the new shows this season. Starring Alex O’Loughlin as Steve McGarrett and Scott Caan as Danny Williams, the program is a re-think of the hit show that starred Jack Lord and James McArthur.

In the original version, Khigh Dhiegh appeared in the occasional role of McGarrett’s nemesis, Wo Fat.
No matter how tortuous the Chinese operative was or how McGarrett managed to box him in, the man always got away. It was one of the greatest ongoing adversarial face offs in TV history, so Dacascos has his work cut out for him.
