Steven Seagal protecting a drug lord from GSP in Cartels

Cartels

Keoni Waxman and Steven Seagal joined forces again, and for the second time, to bring us the new action movie Cartels (previously known as Killing Salazar).

The cast this time is not so bad and even includes Georges St-Pierre. The story follows U.S. Marshal Tom Jensen (Luke Goss), who has tasked with protecting an imprisoned Russian drug lord from his former employee Bruno Sinclaire (Georges St-Pierre). Seagal plays a government agent John Harrison in a thick leather coat, bushy goatee, tinted glasses, and with whispery monotone voice (nothing new).

St-Pierre fits well the role of a bad guy with his French accent and a Superman punch. Luke Goss can’t show us anything new but brings some charisma into the cheesy twisty plot.

Cartels movie is set to premiere in select theaters on July 7, as well as through iTunes as a digital download.
