The battle for balance continues as Avatar: The Last Airbender officially returns for Season 2 on June 25.
After the breakout success of the first season, Netflix previously confirmed that the fantasy epic would continue through Seasons 2 and 3, bringing Aang’s legendary journey to its conclusion.
Picking up after the emotional victory at the Northern Water Tribe, Avatar Aang and his companions are far from finished with the Fire Nation. Gordon Cormier returns as Aang alongside Kiawentiio as Katara and Ian Ousley as Sokka.
This season sends the trio toward the legendary city of Ba Sing Se, where they hope to convince the mysterious Earth King to join the war against Fire Lord Ozai, once again played by Daniel Dae Kim.
But perhaps the biggest excitement comes from the arrival of fan-favorite earthbender Toph, played by Miyako. Known for her fierce personality and unmatched earthbending skills, Toph becomes Aang’s next mentor as he begins mastering a new element.
Season 2 also promises expanded martial arts choreography as Aang’s training evolves beyond air and water techniques.
With larger battles, deeper mythology, and the road to Ba Sing Se ahead, the war against the Fire Nation is only getting more dangerous.
