Over the past few months, Vin Diesel has given us several teasers about XXX 3 The Return Of Xander Cage, sharing casting news, interesting photo stills but now we have the film’s official synopsis:
The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box.
The movie is currently filming in Toronto, but will soon move to the Dominican Republic. The movie is scheduled for release in 2017.

Jet Li is set to face off against Vin Diesel and this is the perfect exception to the rule. The 52-year-old martial artist will lock horns with the Fast And Furious lead as he finally makes a return to the role of the tough guy turned reluctant spy after a 15 year absence.
Verbose Revolution COO Scott Hemming told the Hollywood Reporter: “We are extremely excited to have Jet Li join the cast of film, who is pitted against Vin Diesel’s Xander Cage… watch these two in action as they raise the bar with some of the most incredible stunts on film.”
But perhaps most exciting of all for action aficionados is the casting of Tony Jaa, who is undoubtedly still one of the most famous name in silver screen martial arts.
It is said to be aping the successful formula of the Fast And The Furious franchise by surrounding Vin with a backing ensemble of action stars.

Vin Diesel started working on the return of another character that made him popular in action movie business – Xander Cage. As long as Dominic Toretto and Riddick, Xander is a real deal and a bad ass with good skills.
The current synopsis is: Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his handler Augustus Gibbons.
