The Gate, a tale of an angel battles against the forces of darkness

Check out this sensational 8 minute short pilot to an action-packed superhero film with a female lead – The Gate. A compelling tale of an angel that comes into her power to battle against the forces of darkness.

Amy Johnston already made her mark as a stunt performer in blockbusters such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3, NCIS: Los Angeles, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Deadpool and upcoming Suicide Squade.

Fingers crossed that this will be developed into a series or possibly even a feature film.

Plot: When possessed by an angelic force, Cassie gains extraordinary abilities that she uses to fight crime in New Orleans as a super heroine and avenge her mother’s tragic death. The series chronicles Cassie’s childhood days when her and her sister, Kate, are forced to the streets after a Haitian Voodoo Cult Leader sells their drug addicted mother into sex slavery and her mother dies tragically. Cassie then makes it her life’s mission to become a vigilante crime-fighter to rid the world of the evil that killed her mother. When Indonesian crime lord gets word of her bestowed angelic powers, he quick becomes Cassie’s worst enemy.

Check out teaser to upcoming short film The Gate with Amy Johnston alongside Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman from the Raid movies. If they will get enough funding, they can go even bigger on the action to impress the suits. Here is the link to their Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns.
