Cody Hackman shows the energy of MMA style fighting in Tapped

See that kid on the right? The one staring at MMA fighter Krzysztof Soszyznki? Yeah. That’s Cody Hackman – a five time world karate champion punching a little above his weight class in upcoming MMA set fight drama Tapped. Lucky for Hackman he’s got cinematic badass Michael Biehn along with Martin Kove and Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida in his corner of Tapped. Also lucky for him is that director Allan Ungar has clearly figured out how to capture the energy of MMA style fighting.

You wouldn’t go too far wrong considering this an MMA spin on The Karate Kid and with Anderson Silva set to defend his UFC middleweight title this week the producers have opted to release the first teaser now to give people a first look. Check it out below.

Tapped is stunts coordinated by Emilio Chino Ramirez, Neil Davison (300, Red, Resident Evil), Cody Hackman and Krzysztof Soszynski.

Plot: A disgruntled teenager, sent to do community service at a rundown Karate school, enters an MMA tournament to face the man who killed his parents.
