Zara Phythian in gritty action thriller He Who Dares

Here is the first trailer to the new UK action movie He Who Dares made with a budget of only $1,000,000.

Why I decided to tell you about this action? Because of Zara Phythian, the new Lady Dragon from UK, a beautiful former 13 times multi-style sports Martial Arts Champion and the first British martial artist to be inducted into the International Karate & Kickboxing Hall of Fame.

Zara was actually spotted in the USA whilst she was competing and winning 4 US National Belt Titles at one event. She was hired as an actress and returned to the US for an independent Sci Fi movie, where Zara found the ‘actor bug’.

He Who Dares stars Tom Knight, Simon Phillip, Ewan Ross and Lorraine Stanley (London To Brighton). A UK release is scheduled for Christmas 2013.

Set on Christmas Eve, the film sees a group of ruthless masked terrorists kidnap the Prime Ministers daughter, fortifying themselves in an underground car park rigged with explosives. Crack SAS operative Chris Lowe and his team are sent in and must take the building one level at a time.

Director Paul Tanter said: “I am very pleased to be bringing this gritty action thriller to the market. After his bad guy role in the highly anticipated Kick Ass 2, I can see Tom Knight shaping up as a star of the future and is the perfect lead as the heroic SAS Captain.”

Jude Poyer’s fight choreography background in Hong Kong martial arts film has brought awesome fight scenes to a very hard hitting British film.

What is interesting Zara’s next project is Knockout set to release in 2015 and involves amazing actors such as Mischa Barton, Tom Sizemore and the one and only Cynthia Rothrock. Storyline is about a young woman, distraught from witnessing the murder of her parents as a child, develops her own unique martial art by playing video games. It’s because of this she suddenly finds herself embroiled in the world of underground fighting.
